| Has
the MediFlexor™ been medically tested?
Yes.
Medical tests have been performed comparing the blood flow in the lower
leg during
1
Simulated walking
2
Using the MediFlexor™
3
Performing non-weightbearing foot and ankle exercises
The test results
showed that the blood flow was significantly higher when
using the MediFlexor™ while seated compared to the foot and ankle
exercises. The results also demonstrated that using the exerciser had
an effect on blood flow equivalent to walking.

performed by J.Paige, Vascular Imaging Services, VIC. Australia)
What
is recommended when seated for prolonged periods?
The best way
to help blood flow in the leg is to exercise. Walking is the most obvious
choice, but this may not always be practical or possible.
Exercising with the MediFlexor™ while seated will assist with blood
flow in the lower leg to a level similar to walking.
It is important to exercise your calf muscles on a regular basis when
seated for prolonged periods. The MediFlexor™ enables you to effectively
do this when frequent ambulation is not possible. |
